nail advice
lusttodust: Put on nail polish and let dry.   Dip fingernail in alcohol-basically any will do, vodka is suggested.  Press a strip of newspaper big enough to cover the whole nail on to your alcohol soaked nail.  Pull off slowly and be really impressed with yourself.  Paint top coat if desired. Been there, done this, and a couple additional tips: The fresher the newsprint, the clearer the transfer.  Black ink works the best, but colors WILL transfer, if you have a particular desire to put infographics or incomprehensibly tiny pieces of the Sunday comics page on your nails. The top coat is NOT OPTIONAL.  If you want this to last more than a day or two and look professionally finished, that is.  But wait until the ink has set.  I usually give it about 15 minutes to cure. Use a thicker layer of topcoat than you think you need.  Putting on thin coats, you run the risk of streaking the ink.  One thick coat is best.  I recommend NYC Quick Dry top coat, or Seche Vite, if you’re hardcore and have more than $2 to spend on nail polish.
